PH-OENIX

PH-OENIX is an aviation activitity club. Our members organise regular club-flights to interesting destinations where we have nice activities. These trips are made in club-connection with some enthousiastic members wich fly themselves. Our pilots have a lot of experience.. PH-OENIX has its homebase at Rotterdam Airport. The Aeroplanes are hired at two renowned aeroclubs.

Passengers are also active!

Is it your dream to fly an aeroplane yourself? You want to learn to fly? A flight with friends or relatives over the Netherlands? Or even better; a flight to your favourite destination, a place where you always wanted to go to. Flying is a unique experience. How about flying at an early sunday morning while everybody is still asleep? In the air, just you and the wind. Or with the PH-OENIX club, together making a day-trip with small comfortable aeroplanes to England or France, simply to fly back with a baquette bought in Paris. It’s all possible.

Do you have to fly yourself?

No, we use a simple formula where passenger- and pilot-members create a golden combination which makes the aeroclub PH-OENIX unique. With the help of experience pilots you have the opportunity to discover how everything works on board of an aeroplane. Flight preparation is part of the trip.

Fleet

The PH-OENIX flies with planes of type Piper Warrior (160 PK) or the newest Diamond DA-40. These are single-engine 4-seat planes with a cruisng-speed of 200 km/hour. The aeroplanes have excellent maintenance schemes with the clubs. Each 50 flying-hours there are inspections. Each plane has double controls, meaning, that the person sitting next to the pilot can also operate the controls. See the image for a typical cockpit view.

Clubflights

The PH-OENIX organises clubflights to destinations in the Netherlands or Europe. What about a saturday brunch in Le Touquet or Verdun? Or a walk along the Moezel near Koblenz? Or flying over the Channel from Bleriot to Biggen Hill or Duxford in England? And then pay a visit to the Aviation Museum in Duxford. We also fly to Texel, where you can rent a bike to cycle over the isle and fly back in the evening with your friendS. We can assure you, … it is infectious and very addictive. Don’t say we did not warn you.

If you want to learn to fly?

This is also possible! We provide you with the neccesary information, practice and help you to search for a good flying school. You can examenation for your European brevet.
